With it came THE CASTLE OF DREAMS, an idea which originated from the long hours my elder daughter Jodie and I would spend together in what we called “Pretend Play”.  Moreover, both Jodie and her younger sister, Shirley, were always running around at home in costumes and pretending to be one of their favourite Disney characters : Cinderella, Ariel, Fairies and many others. My experience of my own daughters helped me realise that children enjoy going on stage, with many having the skills and abilities to do so. </p> <p>ONCE UPON A TIME was up and running on 1 December 2007… Being a mother and a full-time lecturer at the time it took a lot of perseverance and determination to take me through all this but my dream finally <em>did</em> come true! </p> <p>Over the past months, this venture has given me great satisfaction. I feel that ONCE UPON A TIME has made me feel young again!  I love being around children, to give them the opportunity to experience a land of dreams and fantasy, and watch them grow ONCE UPON A TIME seeks to give a magical experience to kids and grown-ups alike… And you can join in by simply visiting us at ONCE UPON A TIME!</p> <p>Little by little, the culture of ONCE UPON A TIME is evolving.  The team is becoming one big happy family where laughter, adventures and child-like behaviour prevail. I hope that through this website we would be able to share some of our happy moments with you, and maybe lure you to our shop in San Ġwann!<br /> <p>My dream would have not been possible without the help of my husband Robert, my mum and dad, my sister and brother-in law Charlene and Robert, and my friend Claire.
